With so much focus being put on appearance and body image, teenagers today face added pressure to maintain a healthy diet.

Eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa are serious disorders that are most common in girls aged 15 and over. Anorexia causes nutritional deprivation and can affect physical growth, can have long-term effects on reproduction and can also lead to osteoporosis. Bulimia is much more common than anorexia and results in electrolyte losses which cause dizziness, weakness and fluid retention.

We take the time to review all the mental and emotional challenges, developing strategies to overcome obstacles often presented by life. Therapies such as herbal medicine, Bach flowers, homeopathy and counselling can provide much needed support during times of transition and change.
