I have discovered that being over weight is not as hopeless as I imagined. Once I stopped smoking and piled on the weight I had a few half hearted attempts at losing weight which failed dismally. I then decided to get some help to see if that made any difference. Turns out it did.

I have learned a very valuable life lesson and that is without focus and mostly discipline there is no possible chance of achieving any form of success. The beauty about a goal being weight loss is that there are many situations in life that you have no control over, however with weight loss you do have absolute control. When all is said and done, it comes down to what you put in your mouth.

What Nu-Leaf has done for me is provide me with a workable road map, some guidance, but at the end of the day it is about self discipline. This time last year I weighed in at 118.5Kg when I started at Nu-leaf I was at 115.5Kg and I am now at 103.8Kg. I am now walking around with about 12Kg less, and I feels so much better.

My aim is to reach 95Kg and I know I will, it is now just a matter if time. I now know how to do it and it is a lot easier that I thought, it really is. I now feel like I can control what I eat, and that to me is freedom, freedom to choose to eat or drink something. I will from time to time stray but the point is I now choose to do so and do no longer feel like I am being controlled and that freedom is mine and the tool that afforded it to me is discipline and a good road map.
